It was really cold,

so we decided to go Oregon Zoo

(cold weather = less people!)

Yeah, it was really cold

although Silas forgot to grab his jacket...

Even the bears were cuddling to keep each other warm.

The sea lion section was our favorite.

It was surrounded by warm blue light.

Milo was fascinated by the blue color.

Then we moved to the Africa section.

Silas was excited about it

because "Africa" sounded pretty warm...

Yesterday, Yuri walked hand in hand with Milo for the first time.

That was such a rewarding moment for her as his mother...

On November 16th, the Yoshida family welcomed a baby girl,

Lemonnie Koharu Yoshida.

Congratulations!!!

We are so so so so happy for them,

and cannot wait to meet her in person.

Black Friday

While many people were cat fighting

over the best deal items at shopping malls today,

we decided to go to Forest Park for a short hike with our dog.

(we are dog people, not cat people...)

This gorgeous park is located only 10 minutes outside of downtown Portland,

and it has lots and lots of trails to choose from.

Yes, we are so lucky!

Milo loved it.

That was the best way to enjoy the Black Friday.

Yesterday was such a beautiful day,

so we took a short walk to Maricara park.

This was Milo's look when we got the park

so... sure enough,

5 minutes later, he looked like this:

His mom thought that he was missing the gorgeous day

but he might have gotten the best out of it...

We went to Tryon Creek for an afternoon hike.
