Sep 29 was Yuri's birthday,

and it happened to have a firework festival on that night.

So, we had a family picnic with watching the beautiful fireworks.

At home, there was a surprise cake for her.

It surprised her in many ways...

Since we do not have a TV in our house, 

Milo was very curious about it at his grandparents' house.

Do not get into it too much though...

There is the middle school across from the Yuri's parent house,

and there was the school athletic festival on saturday.

Children performed some dancing and competed in some races.

It was pretty common events in Japan, 

but Silas had never seen something like before and got pretty fascinated by it.

How about Milo?

the first morning in Japan

We sneaked into Japan last night, and it has been good so far.

Milo enjoyed people and places he does not usually see.

We made it back!

On the way to get Japan

Our flight was really really early in the morning,

so we had to pull Milo out from his bed and put him in the taxi.

At the PDX, we saw this amazing Sayuri's exhibition.

Then our plan was that...

Milo must have been so sleepy and he would fall asleep on the airplane.

However...

Milo slept pretty much a whole time during our lay over in SF...

Once he got on the airplane, he was so wild,

while his parents looked so tired...

We will miss you while we are in Japan.

It was really nice to hang out with lots of old and new friends.

Milo loved dancing with the live bands and playing with many drunk people :)
