mochitsuki event

Yuri was asked to have two food demonstration at Japanese historical event in Portland.

First, she had the one for Temari Sushi 

(round sushi ball we can make with different colorful ingredients on the top).

And, of course, the one for miso and miso soup.

There were way more people we had all expected,

but at the end, Yuri enjoyed it very much:)

Aki's birthday party

We went to Aki's birthday party held at People's.

This little spaceman is not "little" anymore!

Keena loves the rocket toy.

The giant balloons were the big hit.

After the party, we noticed there was the beautiful rainbow outside.

Keenan started refusing to wear the diapers.

It was no way to put the cloth diapers on her first, 

then she did not want to wear the disposals as well.

Now, only diapers she will wear is the ones we draw some pictures on.

Oh I meant "new shelf' Silas built for our new play room

new park in Lake Oswego

We found the new park in Lake Oswego.

This place had all kinds of outdoor workout machines.

It was kinda weird, but Milo enjoyed trying every single one.

Their "normal" playground was nice too.

family bike day

We went to the family bike ride on Oaks Bottom bike trail.

Milo was so stoked and fast on his bike

and Keena loved being on the bike as well and watching him.

The light was so beautiful

and had sich a good time.

We went to the Tilikum Crossing and made a u-turn and headed back to Oaks Park.

On the way back, Milo and Silas crashed into each other,

and Milo hurt his leg.

He cried a lot and refused to get back on his bike because of the pain.

It was getting later and later,

soon we will be in the dark with crying boy with his bike and no flash lights...

Oh what can we do????

Then, suddenly, we saw the familiar faces coming on the bike path!

Aki and Aaron!!!

Aaron had the electric bike with the kids bike attached,

so Milo could ride it instead while Aki was riding Milo's bike.

They were truly our life saver!

Yuri has worked so hard for the big project as the coordinator, guide and translator.

It was such a challenging job, but she could meet amazing people

and could enjoy this "seed to table" lunch.

All hard works were always all worth it at the end.
