rain and mushrooms

Those two did not care rain at all,
but they sometime prefered to play in the puddle.

Silas had been so into hunting mushrooms,
and he enjoyed the wet season too.

family miso making WS

As the holiday gift from Silas and Yuri to our family,
we had our first Baxter miso making workshop.

Miso samples.

Here we go.

There were more participants than the typical miso workshops,

but all participants behaved pretty well.
(Most the time.)
(They were just so loud)
Haha.

Of course, miso making was great kids activity.

It was not just miso making gathering,

but it was such a fun family gathering and we laughed a lot.

At the end, everybody packed their own miso in the crocks,

and said "tada~".

The Japanese meal was followed by the miso making.

Inclding miso soup lesson.

We could not finish up our workshops without tofu donuts.

We cannot wait to taste each other's miso before next holiday.

baba's big helpers

Milo and Keena were such big helpers for Rita today.
They made sure all worms were working hard in the compost bin,

and picked all left over potato from her garden.

Then, they put some firewoods in the cart,

moved to the front pouch

and restuck them.

Good job guys!
