play work play play work

Today was the day for Matt's 40th birthday part,
so all day long, we played, worked, played, played, worked, and played.

They played and worked at the same time.

Elliot and Keena were pretending to roast some marshmallows.

Milo was making some secret maps.

Serious music practices:

Oh hi, birthday boy.

And we played and worked more.

Rock stars.

Started over...
playing and working...

Oops.

1st night in Sebastopol

Nice place with nice people...
what else do we need?

Yummy food!

We were so glad to be there.

morning surprise

We had headed to a campsite we found on the map,
but it was closed due to the late season.
So, we googled other "nearby campsite"
and got a spot right before their gate closed.

We pitched our tent with the headlight of the car
without knowing how the lake looked like...

Then we woke up with this beautiful view!!

The moon fairy delivered some oranges to the kids.

Milo really liked the view, and he enjoyed some quiet time in his napsack.

Sun rose more

and moon fazed more.

Our favorite camping time - eating breakfast in the morning light.

Good morning.

Then, we saw a pack of deers

crossing the river.

The perfect way to start the day.

Driving down to Sebastopol

On the way to get Sebastopol for a big party,
we stopped by our favorite spot a little off I-5.
While Silas cooking a dinner for us,

we picked those cure acorns

Double heads.

Ok, the dinner is ready.

"Itadakimasu!"
