May 5th is Japanese Children's Day (Boy's Day.)
On the day, people celebrate and wish for their children's health and happiness.
We went to the 7 miles hike to Pup Creek Falls in Clackamas.
A healthy and happy activity, right?
Milo was in the backpack carrier on Silas's back.
The carrier has the attached mirror to check on Milo,
but Milo wanted to hold in instead.
Nature class 1:
the difference between salmon berry and thimble berry
Nature class2:
we can chew on the clovers stem
We hiked along the Clakamas river
This hike had various beautiful sceneries
Some parts were wet and so green with moss everywhere
and the other parts were so woody.
There were some pretty wild flowers.
Some parts were a little steep uphill,
but mostly it was a mild hike.
We had to use the rope to go across the river too
(not really...)
There were many small water falls
before we get to our final destination, Pup Creek Falls.
Every time we saw the water falls, we were thinking...
"Is this it? Are we there yet?"
But, we had to keep walking, passing one fall after another.
And....
this was it!!!!
Pup Creek Falls was huge and really really beautiful.
Yay, we made it.
After we took a rest at this place
where reminded us of "princess Mononoke",
we headed back to the parking.
At the end, Milo was...
...
...
OUT!
with lobster socks on his hands...
(it was cold, so we had to cover them)
