Kyoto Day2

On the 2nd day in Kyoto, first we visited "Ginkakuji Temple".

This temple was filled with what makes Kyoto special;
A simple old temple, which was built 620 years ago,
is still coexisting with both natural beauty
and artificial beauty which has been constantly maintained perfectly by human hands.

It was actually hard to enjoy it with the two wild toddles as much as we had wanted,
but we were all so happy to be there together.

Milo, did you get some zen feeling??

Ah... maybe not so much?

Then, of course we had an ice cream break (for adult only)!

Next, we visited "Sanjusangen-do."
This is Silas' and Yuri's most favorite place in Kyoto.
This Buddhist temple was built in 1164.
It has a huge "Thousand-Armed Kannon"
and one thousand life-size statues of the "Thousand-Armed Kannon"
We were not allowed to take photos inside, but it looks like this:

Outside of the temple is really peaceful to walk around

with two sleeping monsters :)

In the evening, we walked around Gion, a famous geisha district

and got in a tempura restaurant.

We realized our two boys were having their own party behind us
while we enjoyed our food and conversation.

Therefore, we decided to hire them as our geisya,
and they danced for us.

What a great day.
