craft factory

We went to Craft Factory,
where the kids choose a flat wood plate in the different shapes,
and decorate it with all different kinds of “scrap” materials
like beads, feathers, pipe cleaners or piece of woods.

Keenan picked the flower shaped wood plate and created this
as the birthday gift for Rita.

And Milo made this!
A cheetah boat with movable motor -

First, Milo chose a boat-shaped wood plate and painted it.
Next, he connected the piece of wood and fabrics as the sails,
and on the sails he put M for Milo
and the cheetah because cheetahs are the fastest animals.

Then, he found a propeller-shaped plastic piece
and he started thinking how he can use it as the motor for the boat.
He wanted to attach it to the boat,
but at the same time,he wanted to keep its mobility.

He was thicken, thinking and thinking.

At last, he came up with the solution that you can see in the actual model.
He attached a piece of stick to the propeller, and put it into the straw,
which was attached to the boat so that he can spin the motor of the boat.

Milo made all of the selections and worked on his own without anybody’s help,
except that Yuri helped him to use the glue gun for the small areas.

As additional decoration, he added the anchor and
anchor holder, and the helm on it.
At the end, he asked Yuri to make a stand for the boat,
and she made one based on his description.

Milo was so proud of his creation
because he could form all his ideas into his favorite vehicle.
Of course, Keena was so proud of her creation too.
